Terms of Service
In short
- Every standard account gets five imported data logs plus one scanned log. More logs are $10 each, or choose three-month ($100) or annual ($300) access.
- Your logs and digitized data stay on your computer and remain yours. We do not upload or keep them.
- Check your digitized results before you rely on them. The tool helps; you are responsible for the final data.
- Refunds: full refund within 14 days of purchase if no paid log or map has been used.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Log Digitize, the website at logdigitize.com ("Log Digitize", "we", "us"). By creating an account, buying a plan or using the workspace you agree to them. If you use Log Digitize for an employer or client, you confirm that you may accept these terms for them. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. The service
Log Digitize is a browser workspace for digitizing scanned well logs (calibrating depth and curve scales, tracing curves, exporting LAS, CSV, Excel and text), plotting log data in LogPlot Studio and building correlation charts. The digitizing and plotting run in your browser on your own computer.
3. Your account
- Use a valid email address you control and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person per account. Do not share an account, and do not create several accounts to get more free logs.
- Tell us promptly through the contact page if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Plans, logs and payment
| Plan | Price (USD) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free account | $0 | One log in total for the account. It does not renew. |
| Per log | $10 per log | One or more additional logs (choose how many at checkout, e.g. 3 logs = $30). Purchased logs do not expire. |
| Three months | $100 | Unlimited logs for three months from purchase. |
| Annual | $300 | Unlimited logs for twelve months from purchase. |
- What counts as one log: one scanned logging run for one well, meaning one original file with all its pages, depth intervals and curves.
- When a log is counted: the first time data from it leaves the digitizer (an export to LAS, CSV, Excel or text, a batch export, or Send to LogPlot Studio). Opening, tracing and correcting a log are free, and repeat exports of the same log are not counted again. The built-in sample log is never counted.
- Buying three-month or annual access again extends it from the end of your current period. Time-based plans are one-time payments and do not renew automatically unless the checkout page clearly says the plan is a subscription.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars and may include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a purchase you have already made.
- Complimentary access given by the administrator follows the allowance shown on your account.
5. Refunds and cancellation
- 14-day refund: you may request a full refund within 14 days of a purchase if no log or map has been counted against it. For per-log and per-map purchases this means the purchased log or map has not been used; for three-month or annual access it means no log was counted during that access.
- After 14 days, or once the purchase has been used, payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where the service did not work as described and we could not fix it.
- Duplicate or mistaken charges are always refunded.
- To ask for a refund, use the contact page with the email of your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe; your bank may take several days to show them. A refunded purchase no longer gives access.
- If a plan is sold as a subscription, you can cancel it any time from Account → Manage subscription & receipts; it stays active until the end of the paid period.
6. Your files and data
Scanned logs you open, the curves you trace and the data you export are yours. Log Digitize processes them in your browser and does not upload them to our servers. Your work is saved to a folder you choose on your computer or in files you download. Because we do not hold copies, keep your own backups; we cannot recover lost work. You confirm you have the right to use the files you open. Our Privacy Policy explains the limited account and payment information we do keep.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to get around the log allowance, payment checks or sign-in, or interfere with the website's security;
- copy, resell, rent or offer Log Digitize as your own service, or scrape or overload the website;
- reverse-engineer the software except where the law allows it;
- use the service for anything unlawful or to process files you have no right to use.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Accuracy of results
Digitizing depends on the quality of the scan and on your calibration and tracing. Automatic tracing, snapping and quality checks are aids and can be wrong. You are responsible for checking digitized curves, depths, tops and exports before using them for interpretation, drilling, investment, regulatory filings or any other decision.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Log Digitize available and reliable but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. If we stop offering the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of active three-month or annual access.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Except as stated in these terms and to the extent the law allows, Log Digitize is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of Log Digitize. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Log Digitize at any time and ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 6, 8, 10, 11 and 13 continue to apply after your use ends.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of the United States, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For important changes we will tell you on the website or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Log Digitize after that means you accept the updated terms.
